[Mood |unmotivated]

This journal is going to become the world's best procrastination device.  Why am I so unmotivated?  I should be reading a chapter of Psychology or reading more of Genesis and writing down anything that confuses me - more than that if you count the things that I don't have to have done by tomorrow.  I did read Book 3 of the Iliad for Hero/God/Mortal over dinner...but that hardly even counts because 1) it was short, and 2) reading it was probably unnecessary since I'm sure the professor will cover all salient points in the lecture tomorrow.

Tomorrow.  Ugh.  I have to go back home tomorrow.  I don't want to spend four excruciatingly boring hours in the car so my eating habits can be scrutinized the entire time I'm home.

At least I'll probably get a betta fish out of it.  I spent an evening watching Caitlin and her roommate (Erica, I think?) setting up the fishtanks for their own bettas, and when I mentioned it to my mom she seemed enthusiastic about the prospect of getting one for me.

Me: Excellent.  I will get a male betta and I will name him Jacques, and together we will plot world domination.

Mom: ...Won't your rabbit feel left out?

Oh, Mom.  Anyway, since it appears I have all these art supplies - colored pencils, various regular drawing pencils - and nothing to use them on, I was thinking of running downtown to Blick's to buy a sketchbook.  I've been having the weirdest urge to try drawing various mythological beings now that I'm taking all these Classics-related classes.  It should be an amusing, if aggravating, experience - I haven't drawn in ages and I'm sure whatever talent I had has since atrophied from disuse.

And hopefully I'll hear from Shannon about maybe getting drunk going out with her roommate Jenny tonight.  (Homework?  What homework?  Pssh.)

Going now.
